Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ
In what quantity is your mulch/gravel/soil sold?
We sell by the cubic yard and can sell in half yard increments. On average, one cubic yard of most products will cover approximately 100 square feet or a 10 foot by 10 foot area at a depth of 2-3 inches.
What is your return/refund policy?

We do not accept returns. Store credit may be offered on a case-by-case basis. Absolutely no cash refunds.  Unique circumstances where a return is necessay will incure a 30% restocking fee and pickup fee for products on pallets.  All debit/credit card transactions are subject to a 3% processing fee. Please speak with an associate if you have any questions on our return policy.

How do you sell your stone products?
Our natural stone products are sold on pallets and weigh 1 ton each. Pallets can be split and sold in half quantities. Stone sales less than half a pallet are sold by the pound. Bulk river stone is sold by the cubic yard.

River stone is sold by bulk and can be delivered loose or in a SuperSak. Loose stone is delivered on a dump truck while SuperSak deliveries require a fork lift to unload.

Pavers, both natural and man-made, are sold by square footage. Some products can also be sold by the piece.

What if I don't need a full pallet of stone?
Our stone products that are sold in pallet form can be split for a small fee so that you can purchase less than a full pallet. Stone quantities less than a half a pallet are sold by weight. Loose stone, such as river stone, can also be sold in small quantities by weight.

Certain items, such as some pavers and limestone/sandstone products, may only be sold in full pallet quantities. It may not be possible to purchase amounts outside the normal pallet quantity or would require an additional fee to do so.

What are the different types of mulch you sell?
All of the mulch we carry is triple-shredded and we have Basic Wood Mulch, Hardwood Bark Mulch, and Designer Mulch. The Designer Mulch comes in Black, Chocolate, and Red.

*Designer mulch should not spread if rain is expected within 24 hours. This could cause the color to bleed and appear faded.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we deliver all products we sell for an additional fee based on location and mileage. One cubic yard minimum order is required.

Pallets of stone, SuperSak, and boulder deliveries require the use of a fork lift to unload. Boulder deliveries may also require an additional fee to remove the boulder from the pallet and place it on your property. Some special order items may ship direct from the factory.

Please note that we try to accommodate delivery time request but due to the nature of deliveries, all delivery times are estimates. If you are trying to coordinate delivery time with work being done, we strongly recommend getting the material the day before you need it.

Also, we cannot be responsible for cracked driveways, sidewalks or other property damage that occurs during a normal delivery. If something out of the norm occurs, we will handle those situations on a case by case basis. We typically will deliver on the driveway or street. We do not go off  pavement. If you have any concerns, you should make plans to have the material offloaded in an alternate location if possible.

Can you guarantee delivery at a specific time?
No, we do not guarantee delivery times. While we try to accommodate delivery time requests, the nature of deliveries makes it impossible to always deliver it at that requested time. Thefore, all delivery times are estimates. If you are trying to coordinate delivery time with work being done, we strongly recommend getting the material the day before you need it.
I have truck/trailer, can you load me onsite?
Yes.
How much can my truck/trailer carry?
The amount we can load onto your truck or trailer is determined by the quantity and weight of the material you are purchasing and size of vechile being used. Most standard sized trucks can safely carry 1/2 to 1 yard of aggregate or soil and up to 3 yards of mulch.
What is your minimum delivery order for mulch, stone, or aggregate?

Delivery orders require one cubic yard minimum.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. We can also accept American Express with a small surcharge. We currently do not accept checks.

How are special orders handled?

Special orders require a 50% deposit at the time the order in placed. The remainder will be due when the item is picked up or delivered.

Please note that special order items can only be returned in special cases and when possible, would require a 30% restocking fee to do so. If we need to pick the material up, a pickup fee would also be added. Only pallet products are eligible for pick up. Returns for loose materials would only be possible if it is being brought to the store. If you have any questions about returns on a particular product, please speak with an associate before placing your order.

Do you install or spread the delivered products?

No, we are strictly a supply business. We do not install or spread the products we sell. We recommend Triangle Land Services for your grading needs, or call us and we can give you recommendations based on your specific project.
